QUAD QII-Forty (mono power amp)
QUAD QII-Forty (mono power amp)
€4,499.00
The Quad II-forty power amplifier is much more than a tribute to one of the most famous designs in audio – but refined and powerful in the modern sense of the terms. Although the circuit topology has changed a little from the original, significantly better components and a brand new transformer design have been engineered. While still being delicately balanced a fast, crisp and detailed sound is achieved, whilst producing an output current suitable for modern loudspeakers, including our very own ESL. KT-88 output valves work in push-pull configuration, while a choice of 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm taps allow for a wide choice of loudspeaker configurations.

The mono amplifier LM-513PA is a Push-Pull amplifier with 4x 845 tubes in pure Class A amplification and delivers 1x160W. The use of high-quality components (Multicap, Philips BC filter, Motorola) hand-made construction with the finest point-to-point wiring for the most part is the guarantee of exemplary reliability.
LINE MAGNETIC LM-503PA
LM-503PA – Mono Amplifier – Single Ended 845 – 1x24W (Price for a pair)
The LM-503PA monoblocs have been created from an original design of Western Electric. It uses a single ended 845 output stage with Full Music 300B drivers. Pre-amplifier stage uses a special Line Magnetic tube, the 310A.
The rectifier tube is a 5U3C and the power line is filtered by two special chokes. User bias controls for 300B and 845 are used for bias adjustment with a specific VU meter to allow you to monitor bias with ease.
Pathos Ethos
Pathos Ethos: Integrated amplifier (HiDac Optional)
The edged exterior of the Éthos does not provide any clues about how to control the amplifier. Like with the Logos to operate the Éthos is a hit and miss trial and error affair. Both recessed buttons on the front panel are difficult to access and they carry no marks or descriptions. The remote controller (by the way very elegant slick piece of metal) will not help a lot as it also has just anonymous buttons. Either a user looks into the amp’s manual or just presses something to see what it does. This is a kind of trade-off for the clean Italian design,
Other than that the Éthos is built with great attention to detail, the selection of parts, craftsmanship and internal layout scream with quality and care. I loved the amp’s heatsinks that are cast in the shape of Pathos’ logo.
The central part is occupied by a turquoise alphanumeric display that is dimmable. The power switch can be found at the rear panel and there is no need to power the amp off as it stays in a standby mode at idle, A ‘progress bar’ on the display will inform you that the Éthos is waking up – it takes no more than 30 seconds before all circuits are stabilized.

Pathos Inpol Heritage
Pathos Inpol Heritage – Integrated Amplifier without Compromises
InPol Heritage represents the projectual legacy of the late Pathos co-founder, designer and inventor of InPol, Engineer Giani Borinato.
The team of Pathos technical designers pushed themselves to the very highest level with this unprecedented project; an enormous amount of time was spent with this product, which is characterised by components of the highest quality and the customary absence of compromises.
The digital bias/gain set technology with intelligent control is entrusted to the same microprocessor which regulates the volume, thus guaranteeing the performance of the amplifier itself and its ability to drive the loudspeakers efficiently.
Thanks to the (optional) HiDac Mk2 converter, music lovers who want the very best from the latest digital sources will find their demands fully met.
InPol (Inseguitore Pompa Linear – Linear Pump Follower) is a system patented by Pathos Acoustics which has enjoyed great success and won many awards.
Inpol devices have a special sonic personality obtainable only by means of this particular circuit design – fully balanced in Class A using a single solid-state component in follower configuration, with high current gain and with voltage gain together. The valve amplifier amplifies the input signal voltage and InPol supplies the current to drive the loudspeakers without any further amplification. In this way, the signal is entrusted to the valves and becomes a true copy of the original, with all the quality, purity and harmonic content of the original.
This technology allows an increase in the theoretical output in pure Class A of between 25% and 50% together with a low output impedance which is fundamental for the damping factor and further improved by the double InPol.

Overview:
One hundred watts per channel, Class AB Integrated Stereo Amplifier with KT150 output power tubes, 12AX7, 12AU7 and 6SN7 input tubes. 12AX7, 12AU7 and 6SN7 are for three stages of signal amplification while KT150 for the power amplification.
Well selected and matched tubes. Tubes we chose are Shuguang 12AX7, Shuguang 12AU7, Electro Harmonix 6SN7 and Tung-sol KT150. No matter it is the Pre-stage or power stage of tubes we select and choose the best matching ones to use on the same unit of the amplifier to get the best sound quality out of it.
Different from other inputs Pre-In offers you a possibility to connect to some other Preamplifier so that you can the LM-150IA as a power amplifier.
User bias control has been used for bias adjustment including 2 vu-meters.
Specially designed Toroid transformers made of Z11 Core for power supply and two Japanese Audio grade EI types of output transformers with wide bandwidth are applied. All transformers and chokes are encapsulated and installed separately on the amplifier to avoid and lower the disturbance between each other.
Japanese ALPS volume potentiometer, American MIT and German Mcap coupling Capacitors etc Audio grade of components have been applied.
Pathos Logos
Pathos Logos: Integrated amplifier (HiDac Optional)
Close to the spirit that has animated since its origin has always been involved in the search for new solutions and improvement of its machines for Music.
E with this approach that Pathos after more than ten years after the introduction of the integrated Pathos Logos presents its evolution MKII.
Pathos is not usual to introduce updated versions of its models except in the presence of substantial and meaningful new ideas to offer its loyal customers and in general to all lovers of good music.
Indeed behind the usual original design the new Logos MKII hide the introduction of a series of new solutions some thought in order to further enhance the sound of the amplifier and others to meet the demand for versatility and practicality that a demanding clientele pretends that is also present in a high-end device.

Pathos Classic One
Pathos Classic One – Integrated amplifier
After having won over the international audiophile community with state-of-the-art reference amplifiers, to conceive a product with a set price point as the main design limit has been a true challenge to Pathos.
The Classic One project was initiated to transfer, in a more affordable amplifier, all the know-how and expertise acquired developing reference products.
Classic One represents a new standard in its price category: it successfully blends in a single chassis a preamplifier and power amplifier, completely separated from each other and provided with their own individual power supplies.
The pre-stage – or, better, the preamplifier – is purely tube, balanced, pure Class A, extremely low noise, with high intrinsic linearity and without any feedback. It provides an exquisitely tube sound in terms of transparency, air, harmonics and refinement… in one word, musicality.
The power stage is a solid state power amplifier, high bias current, Class A/AB in order to adequately drive every load. It provides the sound with speed and dynamics, without influencing the tube nature of the sound. The volume control is motorised and remote controlled, the remote itself is in solid wood. Power supplies are over-dimensioned and stabilized.
Selected components, pure silver Pathos signal cable wiring, gold plated terminals, high-quality materials and refinement at its highest standard are additional benefits provided with the Classic One.
Together with such sound performance and overall quality, the Classic One is offered at a price that clearly demonstrates a philosophy of value for money. This is possible thanks to an aimed design approach, coupled with extremely accurate engineering and superior aesthetic form.
