QUAD QC Twenty Four Pre
QUAD QC Twenty Four Pre
€1,299.00
For the QC Twenty Four pre amp, our designer scoured the globe for the very finest components, with possibly the best example of this being the new ‘old stock’ 6111WA double triode.
With transformers designed by one of the world’s leading authorities and relay input switching the musical signal is preserved in its purest form – pursuant to the philosophy of the theoretical perfect amplifier which Peter Walker himself stated is, ‘a straight wire with gain’. The QC Twenty Four has 2 main outputs, 2 Tape Play and Record connections and inputs for CD, Tuner, Aux 1, Aux 2 and an optional Phono port.

Hegel H20
The Hegel H20 incorporates the latest version of the Hegel FET-technology. A practical benefit of the H20 FET-technology is a more rhythmic sound. It is simply better at re-creating a bass line. Another vital element is the removal of harmonic echoes in the higher frequencies, which result in a lot more detail and still a smoother and more natural sound.
Pathos Ethos
Pathos Ethos: Integrated amplifier (HiDac Optional)
The edged exterior of the Éthos does not provide any clues about how to control the amplifier. Like with the Logos to operate the Éthos is a hit and miss trial and error affair. Both recessed buttons on the front panel are difficult to access and they carry no marks or descriptions. The remote controller (by the way very elegant slick piece of metal) will not help a lot as it also has just anonymous buttons. Either a user looks into the amp’s manual or just presses something to see what it does. This is a kind of trade-off for the clean Italian design,
Other than that the Éthos is built with great attention to detail, the selection of parts, craftsmanship and internal layout scream with quality and care. I loved the amp’s heatsinks that are cast in the shape of Pathos’ logo.
The central part is occupied by a turquoise alphanumeric display that is dimmable. The power switch can be found at the rear panel and there is no need to power the amp off as it stays in a standby mode at idle, A ‘progress bar’ on the display will inform you that the Éthos is waking up – it takes no more than 30 seconds before all circuits are stabilized.

Hegel H30
The massive H30 mono power amplifiers from Hegel play any loudspeaker in the world with ease and authority. The H30 is our best power amplifier ever, and is definitely a combatant for being the best power amplifier in the world. The H30 is developed as a mono block, but there is also the possibility to use it as a stereo power amplifier to start with if you are on a budget. Progress is a one way street and so for our power amplifiers. The H30 is using a new and improved version of the patented Hegel SoundEngine amplifier technology. This further reduce all types of distortion. In addition to the improve SoundEngine we are also using the highest possible level of the Hegel FET-technology in the input stage and the voltage gain stage.
Pathos Adrenalin
Pathos Adrenalin
The Adrenalin amplifier represents the point of arrival of the INPOL (“Inseguitore a Pompa Lineare” – Linear Pump Tracker) concept.
The essence of such an apparatus is that of a tube amplifier featuring a very sensitive and refined timbre, combined with a surprising and amazing output capacity.
It really seems that Pathos designers and technicians achieved their goal: an iron fist concealed in a velvet glove.
InPol (Inseguitore Pompa Linear – Linear Pump Follower) is a system patented by Pathos Acoustics which has enjoyed great success and won many awards.
Inpol devices have a special sonic personality obtainable only by means of this particular circuit design – fully balanced in Class A using a single solid-state component in follower configuration, with high current gain and with voltage gain together. The valve amplifier amplifies the input signal voltage and InPol supplies the current to drive the loudspeakers without any further amplification. In this way, the signal is entrusted to the valves and becomes a true copy of the original, with all the quality, purity and harmonic content of the original.
This technology allows an increase in the theoretical output in pure Class A of between 25% and 50% together with a low output impedance which is fundamental for the damping factor and further improved by the double InPol.

LINE MAGNETIC LM-201IA
LM-210IA – Integrated Amplifier – Single Ended 300B – 2x8W
The integrated amplifier LM-210IA is a Single Ended amplifier with 2x 300B tubes in Class A amplification and delivers 2x8W.
Output transformers are oversized. Listening, the magic of the 300B is total both in the richness of the timbres and the subtlety of the sound scene.

Pathos Ampli D
Pathos Ampli D – Power Stereo Amplifier
AmpliD is the first of a new line of digital amplifiers from Pathos. Completely balanced in D Class, it features a 70 Watt output power on each channel at 8 Ohm, and 130 Watt on each channel at 4 Ohm; it has 2 kinds of inputs (1 as stereo balanced XLR and 1 as stereo unbalanced RCA line).
Despite small dimensions, AmpliD provides great power and high sound quality. It reached state-of-the-art among all those digital amplifiers, that cannot be underestimated in terms of technological innovation.

Pathos Inpower
Pathos Inpower – Monoblock Power Amplifier
InPower monoblock power amplifiers represent the evolution of the INPOL® circuit, originally created with the birth of the T.T. integrated amplifier.
The purpose of InPower project was to design an amplifier able to drive all loudspeakers.
Even in spacious listening environments. All this with the same state-of-the-art sound quality which has been universally bestowed upon the T.T.
