Description
Using circuitry derived from our Apollo amplifiers, the M-180s are marked by an exceptional design that places it squarely at the forefront of tube technology. Just a few of the notable features are a “slow start” logical turn-on for extended tube life, a massive high capacity power supply, and the ability to externally switch between either ultra-linear or pure triode operation.The highly efficient design also means cool running and greatly extended tube life. Other refinements include balanced (XLR) and RCA inputs, mechanically isolated transformers, matched octets of KT120 output tubes, and separate 4 and 8 ohm taps on the rear. In keeping with Rogue Audio’s “quality by design” philosophy, only the finest components are used in the construction of these remarkable amplifiers. The Adrenalin amplifier represents the point of arrival of the INPOL (“Inseguitore a Pompa Lineare” – Linear Pump Tracker) concept.
The essence of such an apparatus is that of a tube amplifier featuring a very sensitive and refined timbre, combined with a surprising and amazing output capacity.
It really seems that Pathos designers and technicians achieved their goal: an iron fist concealed in a velvet glove.
InPol (Inseguitore Pompa Linear – Linear Pump Follower) is a system patented by Pathos Acoustics which has enjoyed great success and won many awards.
Inpol devices have a special sonic personality obtainable only by means of this particular circuit design – fully balanced in Class A using a single solid-state component in follower configuration, with high current gain and with voltage gain together. The valve amplifier amplifies the input signal voltage and InPol supplies the current to drive the loudspeakers without any further amplification. In this way, the signal is entrusted to the valves and becomes a true copy of the original, with all the quality, purity and harmonic content of the original.
This technology allows an increase in the theoretical output in pure Class A of between 25% and 50% together with a low output impedance which is fundamental for the damping factor and further improved by the double InPol.

Forty-two watts per channel, Class AB Integrated Stereo Amplifier with KT88 output power tubes, 6CL8A and 12BH7 input tubes. Tubes we selected for the amplifier is Electro Harmonix 12BH7, Mullard 6CL8A and JJ Electronics KT88.
Well selected and matched tubes. No matter it is the Pre-stage or power stage of tubes we select and choose the best matching ones to use on the same unit of the amplifier to get the best sound quality out of it.
LM-88IA Amplifier can operate in two different ways Auto-biased or Fixed Bias. You can select the one you prefer. Power output for Auto-bias mode is 45 watts while for fixed bias it is 30 watts per channel. Once worked in Auto-bias mode it outputs a more warmth sound and go near to the way of Class A operation.
Different from other inputs Pre-In offers you a possibility to connect to some other Preamplifier so that you can the LM-88IA as a power amplifier.
Specially designed Toroid transformers made of Z11 Core for power supply and two Japanese Audio grade EI types of output transformers with wide bandwidth are applied. Overview:
One hundred watts per channel, Class AB Integrated Stereo Amplifier with KT150 output power tubes, 12AX7, 12AU7 and 6SN7 input tubes. 12AX7, 12AU7 and 6SN7 are for three stages of signal amplification while KT150 for the power amplification.
