The MC205 delivers all the explosive dynamics that high-performance home theater systems require by delivering 200 Watts of power to each of the 5 individual channels commonly used in many home theaters. Our exclusive Dynamic Power Manager® (DPM) technology enables it to deliver full power into 4 and 8 Ohm speakers – making the MC205 a perfect choice for a wide variety of home theater speakers. It can also be used as a two zone amplifier with three channels operating one zone and the remaining two channels assigned to a second zone.
Description
The MC205 does not require cooling fans so even the most subtle soundtracks are not masked by fan noise. It features many notable technologies found in our other amplifiers, including Power Guard® which prevents over-driving of the amplifier and harsh sounding clipping that could damage your speakers. Sentry Monitor™ is a fuse-less short-circuit protection circuit that disengages the output stage before current exceeds safe operating levels and resets automatically when operating conditions return to normal. Inputs for balanced and unbalanced cables are available to provide flexibility in connecting the MC205 to your system or home theater processor. A bank of three blue watt meters provides instant recognition of power output of the front channels (the meters may be switched off if they conflict with the television or movie screen).
The classic black glass front panel and custom machined end caps allow the MC205 to blend in with any surrounding.

InPol (Inseguitore Pompa Linear – Linear Pump Follower) is a system patented by Pathos Acoustics which has enjoyed great success and won many awards.
Inpol devices have a special sonic personality obtainable only by means of this particular circuit design – fully balanced in Class A using a single solid-state component in follower configuration, with high current gain and with voltage gain together. The valve amplifier amplifies the input signal voltage and InPol supplies the current to drive the loudspeakers without any further amplification. In this way, the signal is entrusted to the valves and becomes a true copy of the original, with all the quality, purity and harmonic content of the original.
This technology allows an increase in the theoretical output in pure Class A of between 25% and 50% together with a low output impedance which is fundamental for the damping factor and further improved by the double InPol.

Hegel H20
The Hegel H20 incorporates the latest version of the Hegel FET-technology. A practical benefit of the H20 FET-technology is a more rhythmic sound. It is simply better at re-creating a bass line. LM-88IA Amplifier can operate in two different ways Auto-biased or Fixed Bias. You can select the one you prefer. Power output for Auto-bias mode is 45 watts while for fixed bias it is 30 watts per channel. Once worked in Auto-bias mode it outputs a more warmth sound and go near to the way of Class A operation.
Different from other inputs Pre-In offers you a possibility to connect to some other Preamplifier so that you can the LM-88IA as a power amplifier.
Specially designed Toroid transformers made of Z11 Core for power supply and two Japanese Audio grade EI types of output transformers with wide bandwidth are applied. All transformers and chokes are encapsulated and installed separately on the amplifier to avoid and lower the disturbance between each other.
